AMLA SHUDDHI (Amla Churna)

Effect on Dosha: Tri dosha shamak herb Vipak: Sweet Energy: Cooling

Action: Anti-oxidant, tonic for eyes, liver, skin, hair, cooling, soothing, anti-microbial, Anti-inflammatory, antiemetic, and rejuvenating herb.

Indication: Helps in ulcers, boosts immune system, anti- ageing, delays wrinkles

Usage: Promotes skin & hair health, supports heart health good for brain functions, digestion, in treatment and of diabetes. Rich source of Vitamin C, (Enhances food absorption)

Caution: Can increase acidity. A person with hypertension/ liver-related issues should consult a physician before taking Amla churan.

Dosage: 1 to 3 gm twice daily or as directed bya physician.

Anupan: can be mixed with Turmeric (Nisha) in equal proportion for diabetes. If taken, mixed in ratio of 70% amlashuddhi and 30% doogna with honey it will improve digestion & Immunity.

Note: 1) Also called “Amruta” in sanskrit

           2) Can be taken throughout year.
